I got an email from Beth, one of Etsy.com's administrators. She wants to come up and meet the CT Etsy Team. We're meeting at The Space (remember Craftastic?) to have a little informal lunchy Meet and Greet kind of thing. I am slightly floored by this. I had no idea anyone at Etsy like knew we even existed. I am so looking forward to get a bunch of the team together for this.
I also think that this is a step in the right direction! Etsy just made it possible for the Teams to apply for grants. I applied on the team's behalf to see if we could get some help and better organized. It would be nice to have a small budget to start with before events are planned. I actually am paying out of my pocket to rent The Space out for this. (But I'm thinking of this as my way of throwing a little party for the team!)
So I am looking forward to seeing what happens with the team next!

I'll be at The Forest Folk Festival this Friday Saturday and Sunday. It should be neat. It's like a new agey, naturey, music and arty kind of thing. It's a three day event, $10 a day. It's like all day long and you can even camp on site if you'd like! I might even camp on Saturday night if it doesn't rain! Come check it out. I'll be vending jewelry and plush items.
