Can I tell you how plushy obsessed I am lately. It all started with Kismet Gallery in Troy NY (71 4th Street Troy NY 12180 phone -518.272.1918.) They had this Plush Vinyl and Clay show right around Christmas time. I managed to sneak in at the last minute as a participating artist. I made little knitted kitty's in all different sizes, colors and fibers. Since I live in Connecticut, I figured what the hey, loaded up the car with some good friends and we all took the 3 hour drive to see the gallery show.
IT WAS AWESOME!
I saw so many different cool creative designs from all over the world. I was so inspired! Each one was even better than the previous. Part of me wanted to weep for not having as much talent. Part of me wanted to run home and sew like the wind. And another part of me wanted to kick everyone out and hold the gallery hostage so I could roll around in cute plushies.
So now I have this weird obsessive thing going on. I haven't bought any because, well, I'm almost 30 and about to get married. Instead I stare at them on Etsy and in various online locations. I just started making some of my own as well as felt plush brooches. Everyday I need to squeeze just a little fiber fill and think of those little cutie pies!
Here are some of my favorites!
Medium Pink and Purple Throwing Zombie

I love the idea of a Sock Zombie!
Frank-N-Furter Plushie

From Rocky Horror Picture Show, here is Dr. Frank-n-furter! You're a hot dog. But you'd better not try to hurt her, Frank Furter!
Cozmo the Red Fuzzy sock monkey

Awww, he's all red and fuzzy! I just want to snuggle!
Polar Bear Softie

AHH! Just look at his little facey! I can't take it! I'm being destroyed by cuteness!
